Adding a little "splash" to my kitchen

Last week was construction week at our house. We had a few projects that needed to be done and one project that I've been wanting to do for years....the kitchen backsplash. We remodeled our kitchen almost 6 years ago and either because of lack of energy or lack of funds at the end of the project, we never did anything with our backsplash.

BEFORE
(please excuse the horrendous photo....it's not really yellow)

AFTER

It didn't look bad before but looks so much better now. And we got a new faucet because the old one sucked! And check out my new cereal storage...

I feel like I have a new kitchen! Happy me!

  1. Your kitchen is so pretty and cheery! I'll admit as I was looking at the first pic, I thought, "holy yellow, Batman!" Are the cabinets painted? Love the backsplasth - really finishes the look.
